Overview
For this project I studied the disturbance response of the early fighter jet, the Lockheed F104-A. I first looked at the system response to a roll disturbance, finding that it take a whole 12 minute for it to full recover from a perturbation! I applied and compared a Proportional, PID, and Lag-Lead SISO control system, using the ailerons as the control output. I was able to get the response to below 2 seconds.
